An Butterfly Afternoon!

Signe invited her friends over today to celebrate her 5th birthday with a butterfly themed party!

She was very excited!

We made butterfly invitations and take home treats. We had a butterfly in the flowers and tiny ones all over the table to set the atmosphere.

Signe wanted everything to be pink, purple and white.

She waits for her guests to arrive...

... And here they are, ready for some fun!

First, we made butterfly bookmarks (her thank you notes were written on the inside cover of a butterfly book for each friend to take home).

Then, after playing a quick game, they all sat down for some lunch.
Butterfly sandwiches, fruit kabobs, chips, cheese with butterfly crackers, carrots and juice were on the menu.

They birthday girl digs in.

After lunch, it was present time.

Ava ohhed and awed over many of the gifts.

She got so many nice things. Here she is hugging a new kitty from Sophi.
Cake time - - - It was a butterfly!

Sig snuck some frosting during the song, made a wish and blew out the candles! The cake was delicious (made special by Grandma Sandy).

Cousins.
After we filled them with sugar, it was time for them to go home!

What a fun party.

Happy Birthday Wigs!
