Our family volunteered EARLY this morning to work at the 3-mile water stop for the Urban
Wildland 1/2 Marathon. Sheridan Hills (the girls school) annually takes part. The "Green" race makes the schools partnership with the
Woodlake Nature Center possible. The classes go on seasonal
field trips to the nature center to learn about animals and the environment. The numbers that the racers wear can be planted to grow into flowers!

At the end of the race we picked up all of the cups down the trail. We had such a fun time
volunteering this morning - we will
definitely take part again next year (maybe Neil will run).
