Waterpark Weekend

Thanks to Grandpa Larry, we all (Us, Auntie Kelli, Sawyer, Grandpa and Michelle) headed to a Waterpark in Baxter, MN for the weekend!

While the girls got swimsuit ready, Sawyer got their goggles for them.

We all had so much fun swimming/sliding a ton, eating to much and laughing a lot!

I think the girls went down the red slide 1,000 times.

Signe Makes Fashion History Yet Again!

Signe always dresses herself in unique ensembles. Today, she was on her way to preschool and I just had to share.

Sophi and Neil Hit The Hill!

After practicing in the backyard and at the park, Neil took Sophi to Hyland for the real deal! She was ecstatic!

She was a pro riding on the magic carpet to the top of the hill (From what I hear - Neil had some trouble with this - rumor has it, they had to shut it down for a bit)

On her way down...

She also mastered the tow-rope. (She took a ride on one of the chair lifts as well - watched Dad show-off for a bit - then decided to walk down that hill)

She did so well and can't wait to go again! (She also wants to try skiing)

They had a little dinner and hit the hill for a couple more runs.

Neil (and I) are so proud of our little snowboarder!

Neil Cleans Up At Brew Ha Ha!

Neil was at the Brew Ha Ha Homebrew Competition this weekend in Duluth/Superior. He brought home 5 medals - 1 bronze, 2 silver and 2 gold. Who needs the Olympics?!

Sophi's Favorite

Grandma had Sophi over this morning to try and make her favorite dessert - Baker's Square Oreo Pie.

Sophi did all of the work herself (with a little help from Grandma). She measured, stirred and crushed up oreos.

She tasted some along the way.

Once they had it all ready, we headed out for lunch and some shopping to pass the time until we could eat it.

She added her own personal touch of an oreo smiley face.

The recipe didn't turn out exact, but it was good. Sophi has decided we need to try again (and again) until she can't tell if she or Baker's Square made it!

Face Painting

Sophi spent the day with her friend Gabby (and family) at the Mall of America today. They did rides, lunch and had their faces painted - - - Sophi picked Islamorada with glitter on the palm. She had so much fun! Thanks Tanghes.

Color Project

Sheridan Hills (Sophi's school) along with Tolerance MN did a super cool painting project last month. The Color Project taught the kids that skin color does not matter - so embrace and celebrate the one you have! We should choose our friends by what counts - the inside!

All students and staff painted a self portrait. They had to mix colors to match their skin. Then,
with the help of school pictures and mirrors, they added their features.

Here is Sophi's - the paintings will be displayed in her school and at district events.
