Trick or Treat

It was finally time to start trick or treating - the girls were so excited!

Pirate Sophi and Signe the Devil got all ready and surprized Grandma and Grandpa B. with their costumes!

They posed by their pumpkins.

And we were off to pick up Grandpa Larry.

He brought along a friend.

We stopped at Michelle's, Uncle Jack and Auntie Sonn's and Patty and Dick's before heading to Park Point to visit Auntie Lynn and trick or treat with Zarley and Zander.

Auntie Lynn was waiting for us - Signe was not so sure (she was ok as long as the witch didn't touch her).

After a group shot with Zarley (Astronaut) and Zander (Gorilla), we hit the block for some candy.

A group shot of all in costume - Nate (in Back) and Kelly (with 2 heads) tricked everyone. They trick or treated to the door and when Auntie Lynn commented on the fact that they seemed to old to be out, Nate said, "I'm just big for my age". A bit later they came again and asked to use the bathroom - that is when we figured it out that it was really them.

We had such a fun night!

Pumpkin Carving

We had just enough time for some carving before it was time to get costume ready!

The girls told Dad what they had in mind for the big pumpkins and he went to work.

While he worked on those, the girls de-gutted a couple of baby pumpkins.

Daddy worked so hard - he had a couple of tall orders this year.

Not only did he need to carve, but Mom wanted all of the seeds saved . . . she made Garlic/Worcestershire and Cinnamon/Ginger seeds later in the week.

Sophi sat on some seeds that then formed a little face on her fanny.

The work was done - Signe had her "Spooky Face" and

Sophi had a Shark!

They were all proud of their work and they both looked really cool lit up later that night!

St. Michael's Pumpkin Patch

We stopped by the pumpkin patch for a few more to carve. They had so many different colors and sizes. Sophi even found this orange speckled one shaped like a heart.

Signe really wanted to pick out some baby ones to bring home.

Sophi liked this one because it looked like a starfish.

They pulled up a couple of pumpkins to rest...

...then back to choosing the perfect one(s).

Good thing Sophi is a regular at the chiropractor - this one looks like it is going to tip her over.

We found some winners (to join the 2 huge ones at home the Grandpa Larry gave us).

Now were off to lunch at the New London Cafe!

7 Bridges Road

We took a drive down 7 bridges road and stopped to walk around a bit.

The girls love climbing on the rocks.

Housesitting

Grandma and Grandpa B. were keeping watch for some friends on vacation and we got to go along to help. (I am sorry that this entry got sort of long, but there were so many great shots)

As soon as we got out of the car the ducks came running...

...out of the pond...

...across the yard...

FEEDING TIME!

The girls didn't want to be on the ground during this time at all.

After they were done eating we walked them back to their pond.

With full bellies, they were off for another swim.

Grandma and Signe moved in for a closer look.

Then Grandpa collected some eggs out of the chicken coup.

We also had to gather the apples off the ground for the deer.

The girls couldn't resist picking some from the tree also.

A family photo op.

Both girls filled their pockets with apples.

This one duck decided to take her sweet time eating - she was there the whole time we were - Gene said this one always takes longer.

The girls stop for a snack.

A quick self portrait and we are off to our next adventure.

What a fun back yard!
