Duluth Hotel Stay

While in Duluth for Uncle Jack's party we stayed at a hotel with a waterslide. Saturday night Sawyer, Kelli and Curt came over for some swimming and Sammy's Pizza (can't go to Duluth without it).

We got the kids swimsuit ready!

Sawyer is looking good in the suit Auntie Kori bought for him before he was even born - by the look on his face - I think he likes it!

There was a great little kids pool, only about a foot deep and warm.

However, Signe is a fan of the "hot pool".

Sawyer floats around in the kid pool...

Sophi moves through the water like a gator...

...and Signe plugs her nose and goes for the big splash (in a foot of water)!

There was a fun little fountain in the middle that the girls loved getting "trapped" behind.

We all had fun on the slide (Sophi decided to try it next time we stay there)! We went over and over trying new ways of sliding - feet first sitting, face first on belly, on your back, touching your toes the whole way down (our fav), etc. Here is Auntie Kelli at the top getting ready for her turn - she yelled all the way down, every time she went.

Sophi waits for her at the bottom...

...and here she is!!! Nice form Auntie.

Uncle Jack Turns 50!!

We headed up North to Duluth this weekend to celebrate. Lots of family and friends got together at Uncle Jacks fabulous party on his big day (8/28). The food was good, the band was great and the dancing was fun. Grandma Sandy, Auntie Kelli, Sophi, Signe and I did the Hokey Pokey!

Signe taking a rest after dancing her butt off!
For some reason this picture of Keegan and Signe showed up sideways - I can't seem to fix it, it was so cute, so I left it anyway.

Siblings - Uncle Jack, Mom Sandy, Auntie Joy, Uncle Tom
I am sure that more people than just Signe ended up like this tonight - out cold face down!
We followed it up with some leisure time at Uncle Jack and Auntie Sonn's cabin the following afternoon.

Here Sophi, Signe and I went out for a paddle boat ride. It was a very quick one due to the wind.

The girls had a lot of fun playing in the sand and running around.

Hopefully next time it will be warm enough to swim! Maybe at the MacNally Family Reunion next year - I hear Uncle Jack is planning it!?!

Pool Time

The girls and I got "Swimsuit Ready" to go to the Richfield Outdoor Pool.

It was so much fun - I think we will get a Summer Pass next year!
The girls didn't waist any time getting into the water...
They are both getting so comfortable in the water - swim lessons start on the 17th at the Y.

These bathing beauties are warming up to go have dinner at the snack bar.

Then it's right back in the water - we ignored the swimming after eating rule for today.

Out of the water - they loved making body prints on the cement.

Some slide time...

You had to walk through lots of spraying water to get to the slides - yes, mom went too, but we don't take her picture in a swimsuit!

3 hours later - Water and fresh air can really make a girl tired - I'd say Signe is ready to head out!

VBS

The girls and I headed to Vacation Bible School every night this week - Sophi and Signe as campers and me as a volunteer. The theme was Crocodile Dock - We transformed the church into a Bayou!

Signe took part in the preschool program, but joined the large group for song and dance (her favorite part of the week). Here she is showing her spirit!

Singing along - we ended up getting a CD of the weeks music - it is on repeat in the car per Signe's request.

Sophi was in the school age program and had a great time. Her good friend Gabby was in the same crew as her.
Here she is taking a drink break - and then "circled-up" for a quick prayer in her crew.

Our good friend Audrey peeks around the corner -she was in Signe's class.

Signe stops for a hug from our favorite volunteer Grace - also one of our favorite babysitters.

Here is Signe getting down with Pastor Anne. Sophi joined in too!

We had a great week - but, boy were we tired!

Puddle Jumping!

We got tons of rain this week and Neil took the girls out to puddle jump. Here is Neil showing what serious business this is.

Here are the girls looking... not so serious about it!
Sophi does a run through...
then stops to see what's going on in the sewer...

Who's the frog in our alley??
Oh, it's Signe!
Here is Sophi trying to catch a raindrop on her tongue.

They have spoted a bigger and better puddle down the way...

Check out their form... they must be experienced in Puddles!!
